Osun 2026: How Hackers allegedly rigged Guber election in favour of Adeleke as Civil Societies Coalition call for Investigation
By Wuddeama Manga// The outcome of the recently conducted August 15, 2026 Governorship election Osun State is yet to be laid to rest as Civil Societies Coalition under the aegis of Liberation Movement of Nigeria (LMN) and Vanguard for Human Rights (VHR) have disclosed how the last governorship election was rigged in favour of the current Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke.
The Coalition calls on the security agents and International Community to set up an independent investigation panel to unravel those behind the classical rigging of the last Osun Governorship election.
According to the Lead activist of the Coalition, Comrade Ganiyu Abiola, in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, alleged that the election was rigged before the poll started on the election day.
Comrade Abiola also alleged that the hackers had hacked electoral umpire system (IREV) in collaboration with the technical staff of the electoral body,adding that the figures contained in the election sheet results of INEC form EC8 were different from the election results transmitted to the IREV which was used to declare Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the guber election.
The Coalition further alleged that the HACKERS were camped in neighbouring States of Ondo and Oyo where they mapped out the strategies on the eve of the election to carry out their nefarious actions.
The rights activist further stressed that the HACKERS were able to tamper with the election results of few local government areas of the State including; Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and others.
The Coalition, therefore,urged the concerned parties not to sleep on the man made noise surrounding the acclaimed electoral victory of Ademola Adeleke by approaching the Court as the Coalition had concluded plan to write the petition to the security agents for discreet investigation on the alleged evidences of hacking the INEC system.
Meanwhile, the Coalition revealed that a prominent members of the syndicate, one Mr. Seun Ilori had confessed being one of the alleged HACKERS.
Earlier, the former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose had advised the parties concerned that not satisfied with the outcome of the election to approach the Election Petition Tribunal for redress because election results were too closed as Accord Party was not a saint in the recently conducted Osun governorship election.
