ARREST OF SUSPECTED CULTIST, RECOVERY OF RUBBER-MADE PISTOL, AXE, CRIMINAL CHARMS AND ILLICIT DRUG
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // In continuation of efforts to curb cultism and other criminal activities in Lagos State, operatives of the Command, while on intelligence-led anti-crime patrol, arrested a suspected cultist identified as Muyideen Olatunbosun, ‘m’, aged 36.
The suspect was arrested during anti-crime patrol along Idi-Iroko, Ogolonto and Agric areas of Ikorodu, following intelligence received in the course of the patrol.
A search conducted on him led to the recovery of one rubber-made pistol, one axe, criminal charms and an illicit drug popularly known as “Ice”.
The suspect is currently in Police custody and is assisting with ongoing investigation, while efforts are being intensified to apprehend other members of his alleged cult group.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, commended the operatives for their vigilance and prompt response to credible information.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining intelligence-led operations against cultism and other forms of criminality across the State.
