LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND IDENTIFIES OFFICER IN VIRAL VIDEO, COMMENCES DISCIPLINARY ACTION
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // In line with its commitment to transparency and accountability, the Lagos State Police Command wishes to inform the public that the Police Inspector seen in a viral video making careless, inappropriate and uncultured remarks while in a commercial bus has been identified as Inspector Osumah Frank.
Disciplinary action has been commenced against the officer in accordance with the extant regulations of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Command wishes to state categorically that the remarks made by the officer were made in his personal capacity and do not reflect the position, views or official disposition of the Lagos State Police Command or the Nigeria Police Force.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, reiterates that all personnel must uphold professionalism, civility, discipline and respect for members of the public at all times.
He emphasizes that the wearing of the police uniform carries the responsibility to protect the dignity and integrity of the Force, and the Command will not condone any conduct capable of bringing the Force to disrepute or eroding public confidence.
The Command remains committed to transparency, accountability and policing with humility and integrity.
