TINUBU-SHETTIMA SUPPORT GROUP ENDORSES AAC GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE, SAHEED OLADELE
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The Oyo State chapter of the Tinubu-Shettima Global Support Group, TSGSG, has endorsed the African Action Congress, AAC, governorship candidate in Oyo State, Chief Saheed Oladele, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The endorsement was contained in a statement issued by the Saheed Oladele Media Organisation, SOMO.
According to the statement, the endorsement came barely 24 hours after over 50 grassroots mobilisers of the All Progressives Congress, APC, declared support for Oladele, the Baamekọ of Ibadanland.
The statement said the endorsement event was held on Wednesday at Bodija, Ibadan, with TSGSG leaders from various local government areas across the state in attendance.
It listed representatives from Irepo, ATISBO, Ogbomoso South, Ogbomoso North, Oyo East, Oyo West and the 11 local government areas in Ibadan, among others.
Speaking at the event, the Oyo State Chairman of TSGSG, Bankole Olusoji Ladele, described Oladele as the best candidate in the governorship race.
He expressed confidence that Oladele and his running mate, Mrs. Damola Jaye, would deliver unprecedented development to the state.
Ladele urged residents committed to the progress of Oyo State to support the Oladele-Jaye ticket, which he described as the only youth ticket in the race.
The group’s Woman Leader, Mrs. Abimbola Alowonle, expressed excitement over Jaye’s emergence as AAC deputy governorship candidate.
She described Jaye as a proud daughter of Oke-Ogun and said the choice of a female deputy would promote development through stronger female representation at the highest level of governance.
Also speaking, a key TSGSG stakeholder from Ibadan North Local Government Area, Mrs. Iyabo Hassan, described Oladele as a highly sellable candidate who is better than other contenders in the race.
Hassan said her support for Oladele was borne out of commitment to genuine progress for Oyo State and urged other residents to support the AAC candidate ahead of the 2027 election.
