Court Sacks Akpabio Loyalist In A’Ibom Assembly For Defecting To APC, Declares Seat Vacant
A Federal High Court in Uyo today sacked member representing Itu State Constituency, in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon Idongesit Ituen, and declared this seat in the legislative chamber vacant.
Ituen who is perceived as a strong supporter of former governor and Senator representing Akwa Ibom Easst Constituency, Godswill Akpabio recently defected from the PDP to APC . The defection was seen as a minus to Governor Emmanuel Udom’s reelection strategy hence the litigation to render him powerless.
