The leadership of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has advised supporters not to take the judgment of the FCT High Court Abuja delivered today 13/12/2018 with anxiety or trepidation. This was contained in a statement made available by the National Director of Publicity of APGA, Mr Oguejiofor Ifeanacho. According to a statement, “The FCT High Court is only a court of first instance at the ground floor. 2 courts are still upstairs. It is imperative to note that the FCT High Court did not declare the Plaintiff Dr. Okey Chidolue as the winner of the Anambra South Senatorial District primary election of APGA. Rather, and in a most bizarre manner, the Court after nullifying the primary election directed parties to go to INEC and sort themselves out.” Mr Ifeanacho noted that over the years, APGA has always obtained respite from the Court of Appeal against questionable judgments of the High Courts and said that It won’t be different in today’s judgment as APGA will appeal and have the judgment set aside. He also noted that the Court had no jurisdiction in the first place, it’s substantive judgment will not stand the test and scrutiny of an appeal. He assured supporters that Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu remains the party’s duly nominated Senatorial Candidate for Anambra South Senatorial District. APGA is poised to win the election come February 16th. The Director of Publicity of APGA urged faithfuls to remain calm and unperturbed by social media propaganda and misleading statements arising from the judgment.
