NYSC Honours: Rinsola Abiola Present as Tinubu Awards Jobs, ₦250k and Scholarships

Hon. Rinsola Abiola, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Citizenship & Leadership, attended the Combined President’s NYSC Honours Award Ceremony held at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. The event celebrated exceptional corps members from the 2020–2023 service years and was hosted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Hon. Rinsola Abiola shared, “Yesterday, I joined my HM and distinguished colleagues at the President’s NYSC Honours Award Ceremony.” She was also seen with Sen. Adaramodu, Hon. Martins Esin, and the Director-General of NYSC at the ceremony, which recognized excellence in service, patriotism, and community impact.
Represented by Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, President Tinubu announced immediate federal employment for 200 NYSC honourees, each receiving ₦250,000 and scholarships for postgraduate studies in any Nigerian university. He further revealed that 10 physically challenged ex-corps members who sustained disabilities during service would also be employed.
Tinubu praised the awardees for their “discipline, commitment, selflessness, teamwork, patriotism, and integrity” and assured them that the Head of the Civil Service and the Federal Civil Service Commission would commence their employment process immediately.
The awards, introduced by NYSC in 1974, remain a pillar of national unity and patriotism. This year’s top honourees include Nunaya Polycarp Nunaya, Okpogbo Alvin Chinedu, Dr. Ugwa Obinna Mark, Rabiu Quadri Mayokun, Akase Pati Ence Nguwasen, and Igwe Anne Chikaodi, representing outstanding male and female corps members nationwide.
Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, applauded the President’s continued investment in youth and urged honourees to remain role models, stating that their achievements embody the best of Nigerian youth potential.
