By Olayiwola Ibrahim // In a response through the media office of APC guber aspirant in Oyo State, Oloye Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland, Oloye Saheed Oladele, has called for a caution on Oloye Akin Alabi, the Honourable member representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, over a statement he made recently.
This caution was made following a viral video of Oloye Alabi in an event of the Egbeda League of Imams and Alfas, stating that the All Progressive Party would follow the pattern of the opposition party PDP in 2023 to win 2027 election.
Governorship aspirant, Oloye Oladele frowned at the statement made by the third term seeking Federal Rep, recalling that this is a time when efforts are being made to unite and strengthen Oyo APC.
He argued that unguarded utterances at the event could reduced the spirits of the party faithful more.
Baameko said, through his media office, said the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Rep is free to join the train of Governor Seyi Makinde to be able to secure the House of Representatives ticket from the PDP for his third tenure, stating that Oyo APC would not miss him one bit.
Oloye Oladele reiterated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not need Governor Seyi Makinde to win Oyo State in the next presidential election in 2027.
According to him, Oladele said that the need to win the forthcoming election in Oyo State by 2027, can only be achieved if President Tinubu can put forward a marketable person as APC governorship candidate who will serve as a bridge builder and being fair to all and sundry irrespective of region.
He said if this could be done by Asiwaju 2027 presidential and governorship elections will be a smoothsail for APC in Oyo State.
The Media Office took a swipe at the PDP, which he said has lost popularity among Oyo people because its government has plunged the state into generational debt burdens and sold off the masses’ treasured ancestral lands.
Oladele advised the Honourable to retract his statement and apologise to Oyo APC and its teeming members.
