OGUTA YOUTHS CLARIFY STANCE ON PEACE, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION

In a recent development underscoring community advocacy and stakeholder engagement, the Concerned Oguta Youths have issued a comprehensive response addressing recent public discourses involving youth leadership figures, including Ben Akarue of the Egbema Oguta Imo Special Chapter of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), and Hon. Emeka Igwe.

Reiterating a firm commitment to regional stability, the youth collective has moved to clear the air regarding ongoing administrative discussions, emphasizing that the dialogue centers strictly on fairness, structural transparency, and collective empowerment.

Three Pillars of Engagement While explicitly validating the collaborative efforts of stakeholders in Oporoza and supporting the leadership of Hon. Emeka Igwe, the Concerned Oguta Youths outlined three fundamental, good-faith requests aimed at fostering enduring harmony and mutual trust:
Absolute Transparency.

The Request: Publication of the official resource-sharing formula and the exact number of slots allocated per community and ward.

The Rationale: To ensure verifiable accountability. If statistical data confirms that Oguta benefits equitably, open records will cement confidence across all constituent groups.

Remuneration Increment: The Request: Full endorsement of upward adjustments for operatives and supervisors.

The Specifics: Strong backing for increased compensation packages—raising baseline earnings below 250,000 Naira and adjusting supervisor stipends within the 250,000 to 500,000 Naira bracket.

Strategic Expansion:The Request: Broadened slot allocation for community leadership to reach a wider demographic of deserving youths, alongside the establishment of a clear framework to incorporate new beneficiaries as future opportunities arise.
