INTERNAL SECURITY: Police Parade Notorious Criminals in Abuja

At a press briefing two days ago, the Police parade of suspected vicious cattle rustlers/armed robbers, kidnap for ransom gang and unlawful possession of prohibited fire arms on 15th june 2017 by force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, Chief Superintendent of Police at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, below are the details of the suspects, exhibits recovered from them and the crime they committed as presented by the Police Spokesperson:
SUSPECTS:
- Abubakar Ibrahim ‘M’ 21 years
- Basher Shuaibu ‘M’ 23 years
iii. Obinna Samson Ani ‘M’ 37 Years from kaduna state
- Kenneth Edeh ‘M’ 35 years and
- Uchechukwu Anoada ‘M’ 36 years from Lagos state

CASE 1:- CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED ROBBERY AND CULPABLE HOMICIDE
SUSPECTS:
- Abubakar Ibrahim ‘M’ 21 years
- Basher Shuaibu ‘M’ 23 years
iii. Obinna Samson Ani ‘M’ 37 Years from kaduna state
- Kenneth Edeh ‘M’ 35 years and
- Uchechukwu Anoada ‘M’ 36 years from Lagos state

On the 12/05/2017 at 0900hrs, acting on a tip off, team of IGP Special Tactical Squad (STS), intercepted and arrest the following suspects, the suspects conspired within themselves and forcefully broke into Rukayya Blocks Industry at Haudawa Danmaliki Kano, they killed the security guard and made away with one unit of motor vehicle tipper truck with Reg. No. KRV 858 XB. Suspects confessed to the crime, they will soon be charge to Court for prosecution.
CASE 2. CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY AND ARMED ROBBERY
SUSPECTS: –
- Gyan Dabo ‘M’ 29 years
- Shuaibu Saidu ‘M’ 30 years.
EXHIBIT:
- One Peugeot 406 with Reg. No. KMC 540 BF blue incolour.
On the 12/05/2017 at about 2040hrs, a team of IGP STS, intercepted the above suspects who are residents of Jos, Plateau state, were found in possession of robbed vehicle.
CASE 3.CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY THEFT AND RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTIES
SUSPECTS:-
- Idris Musa Idris ‘M’ 30 years
- Dennis Salami ‘M’ aged 33years,
EXHIBITS:
- 58 different type of handsets including seven pieces of I phone, Black Berry, Samsung valued recovered ten million five hundred thousand naira (10,500,000.00)
On the 07/06/2017 at about 1900hrs, following a direct complain by one Alh. Sharani Hassan ‘M’ of Sani Maidaggi, to IGP STS, the Special Tactical Squad swung into action at sharans investment, Barrack Road Kano, and arrested the above suspects both who are resident of Sahcol Aminu Kano International Airport.
CASE 4. CRIMNAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED ROBBERY,
KIDNAPPING AND UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED FIRE ARMS
SUSPECTS:
- Umar Mohammed Alia Chairman ‘M’ aged 60 years old
- Isah Ibrahim ‘M’ aged 45 years old
iii. Lawali Ibrahim ‘M’ aged 47 years old
- Nasiru Abubakarn ‘M’ aged 42 years old
- Murtala A. Ado ‘M’ aged 38 years old
- Ahmadu Sale ‘M’ aged years old
EXHIBITS:
- One AK 47 live
- two locally made Barette pistols
- AK 47 live ammunition and cartridges
In between 14/05/2017 and 04/06/2017, following intelligence report, operatives of the outfit arrested the above suspects, conspired and formed a gang of robbers who carried out robbery attacks in Sokoto state and its environs.
CASE 5.ARMED ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING
SUSPECTS :-

- Twenty seven (27) rounds of live ammunition
The above suspects were arrested on 17/04/2017 at about 0700hrs, based on intelligence report received by Police operatives at Lokoja Kogi state; they were arrested and confessed to be armed robbers and kidnappers. The will be charged to court on completion of investigation.
CASE 6.CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY ARMED ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING
SUSPECTS:-
- Abdullahi Sani ‘M’
- Abubakar Wada ‘M’
EXHIBITS:
- One (1) AK 47 rifle
- 20 rounds of 7.62 mm live ammunition
On 10 June, 2017 at about 23:3hrs, acting on credible information, undercover operatives from the outfit trailed and arrested the above suspect, they conspired to attack and rob one Inspr Sanda Kudu attached to Kaduna State Police Command on 16th May, 2017, on interrogation the suspects confessed to series of kidnappings and robberies. They further confessed to three others AK 47 rifles used during their armed robbery operations, effort is ongoing towards the arrest of the other suspects still at large. They will be charged to court on completion of investigation.
CASE 7. CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, CATTLE RUSTLING/ARMED ROBBERY AND UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED FIRE ARMS

- Ali Bello AKA Ali Zugange

On the 20th May, 2017 at about 1630hrs, following an intelligence received by Commander IGP STS/TIU ACP Yusuf Kolo, a team of operatives Led by ASP Hassan Gimba attached to STS FHQ Abuja, arrested the above notorious armed robber, kidnapper and cattle rustler, the suspect confessed to be among seventeen armed robbery gang terrorizing Niger, Kaduna, Abuja and kogi state.
CASE 8.CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED ROBBERY AND CULPABLE HOMICIDE
SUSPECT:
- Suleiman Muhammed ‘M’ aged 27 years native of Kafaru Bida Niger State
On the 17th May 2017, at about 1300hrs, at Karafu forest bida Niger state, suspect was arrested and confessed that his syndicates are the one terrorizing Bida Minna road, he further confessed to the killing of one Altine and Njelbe of Korafo village. He will be charged to court on completion of investigation.
CASE9.THEFT OF MOTOR CYCLE
SUSPECT:
- Shamsudeen Isa ‘M’ native of Paiko town, Niger State
Based on tip off, on 03/06/2017 at about 1700hrs at Paiko town the above suspect was arrested with a stolen Bajaj motor cycle. During interrogation he confessed to have stolen another two motor cycles and mentioned his criminal receiver who is now at large. He will be charged to court on completion of investigation.
CASE 10.CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY AND KIDNAPPING
SUSPECTS:-
- Mingel Saleh ‘M’ 29 years
On tip off, the above suspect who confessed to series of kidnapping teenagers within Abuja and admitted to asked for sum of ten million naira as ransom in which one million naira was paid to him. Other members of his gang are still at large. Effort is being intensified top arrest other members of the gang still at large. He will be charged to court on completion of investigation.
CASE 11. ARMS DEALING AND ILLEGAL POSSESION
OF PROHIBITED FIRE ARMS
SUSPECT:-
- Lawal Shehu ‘M’ of Kwanam Ganuwa of Zamfara state
EXHIBITS:
- Eighteen(18) locally made rifles of different calibers
On the 16/04/2017 at about 1400hrs, acting on a tip off, operatives of the Technical intelligence Unit (TIU) and the Special Tactical Squad trailed and arrested the above suspect at karatu area of Niger state and exhibits mentioned therein were recovered in his possession. The suspect confessed to the crime and mentioned other members of his gang.Investigation is being intensified to arrest the fleeing members of the gang.
All the arrested suspects will be charge to court on completion of investigations. The Nigeria Police Force is using this medium to further solicit for the cooperation of members of public at giving useful and timely information and also report any suspicious person or persons to the nearest police station
