Police AIG Zone 2 Distance Self From Today’s Crime Workshop

By WALE ABIDEEN/ The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command AIG Ibrahim Adamu has described the organizers of the SEMINAR/WORKSHOP ON INFORMATION INTELLIGENCE GATHERING AND DISSEMINATION IN COMBATING CRIME as unknown group who has no link with the police. In a statement made available to newsmen by Zonal spokesperson DOLAPO BADMOS, a Superintendent of Police, SP, the police debunked the claim by the organizer of the said event that it has partnered with the police to organize the event.
Badmos noted that “some unscrupulous elements have been parading themselves as organizers of a seminar/workshop scheduled to hold on 5th of October  indicating that they are in partnership with the Zone. It is also revealed that the organisers had sent their bank account number to dignitaries and organisations for donations”
According to the Zonal PPRO “the Zone is not part of the purported seminar/workshop and therefore warn that any member of the public who transacts business with the organization under the guise of partnering with the Zone, does so at his/her own risk”.
