Police Nabs Fake Soldier In Lagos

The Lagos state Police Command on Wednesday paraded one Emmanuel Audu who is notorious for using Army uniform to terrorize innocent citizen and obtain them of their hard earn money. Audu who confessed to have been dismissed from the Nigeria Army claimed to have been “rejabed” recently. The suspect said that he’s awaiting formal signal that would confirm his reinstatement and posting to Lagos. He added that his new posting is Nigeria Army Intelligence Office in Apapa, Lagos.

Police Public Relation Officer, Dolapo Badmos who paraded the suspect says that Audu was arrested following a distress call by management of Constant Link Venture in Masamasa area of the state. The Police spokesperson added that Audu was arrested in company of another suspect with a local pistol after forcefully obtained a sum of eight thousand naira from security guard working with Constant Link Venture. The suspect however admitted that he collected the money from the guard’

Police investigation shows that Audu has no record with the Nigeria Army Intelligence Office where the suspect claimed he is serving. Audu is to be arraigned in court after police might have concluded its investigations, Badmos submitted.
