Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday, launched the scale up version of the State’s Community Health Insurance Scheme popularly called “Araya.”
The scheme, which is designed to bring healthcare closer to the grassroots is primarily targeted at pregnant women and children under five years old.
With the launch of the scale up version, the scheme will cover, in the first instance, Abeokuta North local government and Abeokuta South local government areas as well as 6 other local council development areas.
Expectedly, the program attracted a large turnout of women and children. It also witnessed the distribution of health insurance cards, which the women are to present at the hospital so that they can be attended to promptly.
