MARRIAGE SECURITY: Delta Speaker urges women to be submissive to their Husbands
The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Monday Igbuya on Wednesday appealed to women to be submissive to their husbands.
“Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. It is only when the woman is totally submissive to the husband, that the man can show love. And husbands must love their wives with tender and faithful affection. It is very difficult to have two heads of authority” the speaker said.
Igbuya who was happy at the turn out of prominent Nigerians to the traditional marriage of his son, Rowan, expressed profound appreciation to God for making the occasion a resounding success.
The traditional marriage undoubtedly brought together the crème de la crème of our society.
Speaking in Asaba, Igbuya expressed sincere gratitude to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, members of the Delta State House of Assembly, party leaders, commissioners and board members who despite their numerous and rather tight schedule found time to grace the occasion.
“I thank the Delta State Governor, the members of the Executive Council, the Judiciary, the Legislature, all our Royal fathers, Captains of Industries and leaders of Religious Organizations; I appreciate your love and sense of commitment in coming to grace the ceremony. May God grant you all continued success in the service of the nation”.
He also gave credit to his wife for the respectful children with strong family values,
The representative of Sapele State Constituency in the House of Assembly advised politicians to marry only upright women.
“Marriage is a life-long commitment and requires a great deal of forethought. Public officers should go for respectable women. A woman should take care of the home and children. Your wife should look after your children” he added
