NFF constitutes 22 standing committees
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially released a list containing names of members of its standing committees.
A statement on Thursday by Ademola Olajire, NFF Assistant Director of Communications, showed that the list contained 22 committees with about 195 names.
The committees are the emergency committee headed by NFF President Amaju Pinnick, technical and development committee chaired by Chris Green and referees committee led by Ahmed Yusuf-Fresh.
Others are the media and publicity committee led by Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, disciplinary committee to be chaired by a former NFF General-Secretary Musa Amadu, as well as the marketing and sponsorship committee chaired by Shehu Dikko.
Members of the appeal board, security, match commissioners’ appointment, organising, finance, internal audit, legal, women football, youth football, futsal and beach soccer committees were also listed with their chairmen, vice chairmen and secretaries.
The list also includes the players status, medical, football, strategic studies as well as the protocol and ceremonial committees.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the emergency, referees, technical and development, media and publicity, as well as the disciplinary committees have started their operations before the release of the list.
NFF had on May 20 constituted selection committees for the Boards of the Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women Football League and the Nigeria Nationwide League One, under the new governance structure.
Heading the selection committee for the Nigeria National League is Yusuf Ahmed Fresh, who is also chairman of the NFF Referees Committee.
A member of the NFF Executive Committee, Otunba Sunday Dele-Ajayi heads the selection committee for the Nigeria Women Football League, while another NFF Executive Committee member, Sharif Rabiu Inuwa heads the selection committee for the Nationwide League One.
The selection committees constituted the Boards of the various Leagues.
