Giving the name of the suspects as Mudashiru Adetunji,Lukumon

Adile,Rasheed and one Tunde, facing the criminal charge of Land
grabbing, kidnapping, and threat to life of the original owner of the

The alleged Police officers were connived with the suspects to evade
being charged to court for offence of obtaining by false, forcibly
entered into land illegally, conspired to defraud, kidnapping, threat to
life and terrorizing the bonafide owner of the landed property.
According to the Petition dated Monday April 3rd,2017 and signed by
MIRAJ’s National Amir, Mallam Adeniyi,Alimi Adams, which a copy was
made available to newsmen on Tuesday, maintained that part of the plot
by the suspects was that their agents were caught while trying to bury
the charms on the land, adding that they were caught and as well
recorded by the iphone on the fateful day and they were taken to
Divisional Police Station,Awo in Egbedore Local Government area of
Osun State, where they made a confessional statement before
Investigating Police Officer(IPO),one officer Alaba with phone
number:07065363160
The petition read thus, “There is over seven thousand (7,000) hectares
of land ,situated at Elemila village,Egbedore Local Government area of
Osun State, which belong and owned by Saliu Adebayo Alli Elemila which
inherited from his Late father,Chief Alli ElemilaΒ without any dispute
on it,because his father had won several cases against many people on
it and there is no any other judgement from any court of law that
nullified their prove of ownership.
“To our dismay, the suspects were suddenly forcibly entered the land
and claimed the ownership because of the poverty level of Pa Saliu
Adebayo Alli Elemila. On this note,MIRAJ as a Islamic human rights
organization, waded into the matter by fighting for the right of the
owner,Pa Saliu Elemila and reporting the matter to the Inspector
General of police(IGP) and other concern authorities, through a
Petition Letter so as to forestall breaking down of law and order in
the area and all the case files on the issue at the lower Police
formations were collected by the Office of Deputy Inspector General of
Police,Force Criminal Intelligent Investigation
Department(FCIID),Garki,Abuja, for proper investigation on the matter.
“The aforementioned suspects were given bail by the men of FCIID,Abuja
at the State Criminal Investigation Department(SCID),Ring-Road,Osogbo
and they were directed that the parties in the matter should report in
Abuja at FCIID,Garki on March 22nd, 2017 and only complainants,Pa
Saliu Adebayo Alli Elemila, and 3 others were at FCIID,Abuja as agreed
upon. But to the surprised of the complainants, instead for the officers
at Zone XI to get the suspects arrested for jumping bail at
FCIID,Abuja, they now connived with the aforementioned suspects, to
arrest the two friends of the original owner of the land on frivolous
allegationsΒ which could not be substantiated in any court of
competent jurisdiction”
Investigation revealed that on the faithful day of Thursday 30th
March,2017 around 7:27 a.m. in the early morning, some men of Nigeria
Police Force of anti-fraud unit,Zone XI Police Headquarters,Osogbo by
unconstitutionally, illegally and unlawfully whisked away Alhaji Adisa
Tajudeen who is intimate friend of Pa Saliu Adebayo Alli Elemila, the
owner of the land and Mr. Jimoh Fatai to their office without any
warrant of arrest or any invitation letter.
The group further revealed that the aforementioned accused persons
have been saying in the town that they had spent over five hundred
thousand naira(N500,000) at anti-fraud Unit of the Zone XI,Osogbo of
the Nigeria police Force to foil the Abuja investigation of the men of
FCIID,alleging that Supol Kehinde Lawal and her team demanded for sum
of two hundred thousand naira(N200,000) for bail which they later
collected sum of fifty thousand naira(N50,000) for bail fee with two
surety of levei 12 upward in the State Civil Service which tantamount
to bribery, corruption and extortion in contrary to sections
98,98A,98b,98d,99, 104,126,365,366,373,375 of criminal code Act Cap
“38” Law of the Federation 2004.
MIRAJ therefore called on the Police boss and other concerned
authorities to commence immediate investigation into the matter
without further delaying so as to forestall any breaking down of law
and order and as well investigate the travesty of justice, alleged
extortionΒ and abuse of office leveled against the police officers of
Zone XI,Osogbo.
