NDA Dismisses 13 Cadets For Exam Fraud, Misconducts

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna has dismissed 13 cadets and one other relegated from 400 level to 300 level for examination malpractices, misconducts and service indiscipline.

The Commandant of the degree award premier institution known for training cadet officers, Major General J. Sardam conveyed a military order that dismissed the cadets.
A signal obtained by our correspondent indicated that “on the 15 May, 2020 about 1304hours, held an order that tried the 14 cadets on various offences.
“13 of the cadets were dismissed out of the academy while one cadet was relegated from 4th termer (400 level) to 3rd (300 level).
“The dismissed cadets were handed over with all their military kits to the military Intelligence and military police.”
It was gathered that those dismissed included: NDA/11210 Cadet GB Yakubu; NDA/11267 Cadet MM Ejiviejor; NDA 10617 Cadet M Muhammad; NDA/11360 Cadet AU Salihu; NDA/11315 Cadet NL Nanlok; NDA/11080 Cadet KK Adi; NDA/12010 Cadet A Mustapha; NDA/12272 Cadet PG Gazor.
Others are NDA/12098 Cadet IJ Ibrahim; NDA/12005 Cadet MF Ibrahim; NDA/11903 Cadet NK Mohammed; NDA/12684 Cadet MG Gulloma; NDA/12006 Cadet MJ Wada and NDA/11021 Cadet AO Olatunji who was relegated to 69 Regular Combatant (RC).
However, Maj Gen Sardam noted with sadness that “So, sad, after passing a lot of hurdles to enter NDA, why can’t one obey simple lay down rules and regulations guiding the academy.
Military schools, including the Nigerian Defence Academy are reputed for its discipline and regimentation. However, this is not the first time in the history of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) to expel or relegate students for their involvement in examination malpractices and other unprofessional conducts.
NDA was established in 1964 and has turned out officers who have had distinguished service years both at home and in international operations.
