These are truly interesting times and the recent mindless and senseless killing of Ahmed Gulak, the former PDP national chairman and former political adviser to Ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, has added another revealing perspective to it all.

This is a man, God rest his soul, whose killing has added many undecided minds to the ranks of those who have been saying that IPOB had no good content and was not a metaphor for anything good or worthy of learning from.

Of course some of us have, wittingly and unwittingly, lent our souls, minds and body to evil. So much so that even this despicable act still provided an avenue to advance the usually incongruent and logically watery narratives of restructuring, injustice, fight for freedom and fundamental human right. All sorts of anarchist legerdemain have been packaged around these seemingly noble causes.

I read articles from decent brethren from the South East region lamenting and condemning the state of affairs in the region and I salute their courage to stand out when it counts the most.

One cannot paint the big picture fully and this term depends on one’s philosophical leaning or proclivity but the one thing that is now a desideratum is that true patriots have to rise up now more than ever before.

This is the time to, at the very least, start querying the premises of narratives hinged on packaged lies and misinformation. This is the time to call out anyone still carrying on about the failings of government in the face horrendous acts such as this senseless killing.

In the fight against terror it has been known that these killers feed off the misguided empathy and sympathy of evil and misguided members of the society. In Nigeria today this ring of collaboration has crossed boundaries to join anarchists in other regions while good men sit idly by and we all know how evil thrives.

People like myself have struggled to know the type of marginalization that any single one of Nigeria’s 350 ethnic groups or tribes is suffering. Without creating any room for mischief makers I submit that we (all tribes) are all in it (suffering) together.

So, are people now going to subscribe to the killing of high-profile persons visiting within other ethnic enclaves until their demands are met? The ‘YES” answer to this is a known strategy in terrorists’ playbooks – incite/spark wide spread anarchy with minimal but strategic input. To some people it is called revolution o. Anyway let them explain the “spring” that rocked a particular continent and its living results that the whole world can now see.

What exactly is the message being advanced by those who still want to and are still talking about the failings of the central government at this material point in time that an innocent man’s body was heartlessly riddled with bullets?

What exactly?????????????

It is time for us to call doers of evil by their specific and respective names – be it anarchists, terrorists, criminals etc.

While spin doctors often choose the most inauspicious times to sell their Mephistophelean narratives let it be known that their charade is being continually unmasked and base shrinking. The imperative is to always insist on contextually congruent presentations and logically rigorous premise-backed narratives.

The price of liberty is eternal vigilance, they say, and those who profess to love humanity and Nigeria should not take comfort in “siddon look” dispositions on ALL issues.

This madness cannot continue unchallenged and the counter force to this degeneration to anarchy needs to be better coordinated at the level of the masses. All these mischievous guises of “trying to hold the government accountable” end up amounting to pure intellectual flotsam and jetsam that need to be scrutinized for clarity and properly discarded as toxins to society.

On a lighter note “This is Optimus Prime calling on all Autobots. The Decepticons have to be stopped from destroying Nigeria”.
