Presidential Race: Why Prince Adewole Adebayo Stands Out By Femi Abobade

The political space in the recent days has been nothing but a dramatic irony both literary and theatrical. The factual reality, is that; most of us have slept on the wrong side in recent years with BUHARI APC, but only to wake-up now with an ideology on our placards without a proper reasoning. There has been more noise out there than issue-based politics. There has been fictions of I WILL, observations of WHAT I WILL more than stating facts on HOW IT CAN BE DONE. There has been an act of zealousness everywhere especially the youths but I noticed that they are gradually losing out on having intentional perspective on politicking whereby evaluating sincerity in track records, genuity in methods, having trait of humility and more importantly is the readiness in objectivity and having that conceptual framework.

If I am not mistaken, there has been this idea of floating just three presidential candidate whereas we have others who seems to be more reliable than many of us thought beforehand. Given the fundamental questions which up till now between APC, PDP & LP have been begging for cogent answers, but paradventure been somewhat overlooked by majority of us. For me and probably other ideal citizens like me believe that; if competency assessment is secondary to our decisiveness, then it’s more or less fitting a square beg in a round hole. And that alone is enough to say if care is not been taken, Nigerian’s would possibly be committing another eight years of it’s future to politicians that lack liberalism and conservatism.

It would be perhaps irrational to some school of thoughts if I say that it is naive and myopic to assert that the best candidate for the presidency job is Peter Obi, Bola Tinubu and Atiku alone, probably out 16 presidential candidate aspiring. Do those aspiring to lead us out of this present state of mediocrity are stating facts on‘HOW’? As much as I know, I didn’t really think beforehand not until I watched PRINCE ADEWOLE ADEBAYO the candidate of SDP who was interviewed by Adeola Fayehun on the critical state of our nation. Our challenges as a nation, in as much as it visible to be seen, it is also too critical to be left in the hands of someone who hasn’t been critical in thinking. I don’t want it to be as if I am writing this piece of article with the purpose of promoting PRINCE ADEWOLE ADEBAYO but preferably convsersing for fair hearing from all the interviews PRINCE ADEWOLE ADEBAYO has done which should also need to be put on the same scale of measurement for proper justification as other aspirant.
