FIRE ENGULFED A RESIDENTIAL MAKESHIFT STRUCTURE IN LEKKI
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // On arrival of the agency’s response team at the incident scene, it was observed that some shanties behind an estate was engulfed by fire at the aforementioned address.
Further investigation conducted revealed that the fire emanated from one of the rooms before subsequently escalating to the other rooms and also the adjoining buildings within the estate.
No loss of life nor injury was sustained by anyone as the result of the inferno.
The agency’s responders and the Lagos state fire and rescue service and the estate fire department worked to combat the fire while the Nigerian police force helped in managing the crowd.
The fire was eventually extinguished by the joint efforts of all the responder. The Agency’s fire unit also joined to conclude the efforts
