Kwara Group Unveils Mission, Declares Support for Tinubu, Gov, Abdulrazaq

Sequel to the Unveiling of Moro Omoluabi Group, a Socio-Political Group in Moro LGA of Kwara State on 2rd January 2024, the first meeting of the expanded caucus of the group was held in Thursday 25/1//2024.

It will be recalled that during the annual get together held in Shao in 3/1/24 hosted by the former candidate of Oloru/Malete/ Paiye constituency, in his usual tradition spanning over four (4) years, a new socio-Political Group Moro Omoluabi Group was unveiled accommodating various interest groups with Omoluabi traits.

On 25/1/24, an expanded Caucus of the meeting was held in the house of the group’s Leader Cheief T.A.S. Oyebiyi, and attended by at least three (3) delegates from across the seventeen (17) wards of Moro Local Government Area.

Chief Oyebiyi , after welcoming all the delegates to the meeting informed the caucus of the reediness of the group to immediately commence a regular monthly meeting.

He further charged all members to continue and always exhibit the traits of Omoluabi to which our fore fathers are made up in all their daily Social and political dealings with a view to bringing greater dividends to the vast majority of our people in Moro LGA .

A motion to constitute an interim 5 member executive to drive the group was moved and all supported by members present.

The convener of the group, Dr. Bolaji Afolabi in his contribution gave details of the vision, mission and aspirations of Moro Omoluabi Group to include but not limited to:-
Aspire to always maintain, assiduously work for,, and show case the yearnings and aspirations of the founding fathers of Moro LGA, which is based on equity, fairness in the overall Kwara project;

Continue to work within the man stream of Nigeria & Kwara Political space, as a group to vigorously support the Renewed Agenda of His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and His Excellency AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq with a view to drawing maximum benefits and developments for Moro people in line with the aspirations of our founding fathers.

Support all the present elected representatives that have bearings with Moro LGA viz:- Senator Sadiq Umar, Hon Saba, Hon Saliu Ayanshola Lawal and Hon Medinat Afolabi in their tasks of moving our dear LGA forward.

Work towards the unity of purpose among other like-Minded groups within Moro, Kwara North and Kwara at large, of charting a better future for our dear people of Moro, Kwara North in particular and Kwara State in general.

Always at all times exhibit the traits in which an Omoluabi is made of.
The names of the interim 5 member executives were later announced, presented and unanimously approved. They are:-
Alhaji Issa Aweda – LGA, Coordinator
Mallam Mumeen Baba Eko – LGA, Secretary
Mallam Wheed Busari – LGA, PRO
Mrs Awoyinka Sunday – LGA, Woman Coordinator
Mr AbdulRazaq Iyanda – LGA, Youth Coordinator

The new interim executives were thereafter to swing into action by scrutinizing all wards with a view to identifying those to be charged with an assignment as ward co-ordinators on or before our next meeting. The group later resolved to soon commence a citizens engagement with our four legislators in both Federal and State parliament so as to enhance their service delivery in line with the renewed agenda of this Government and benefit of our Local Government.

A total of sixty one delegates attended the expanded caucus meeting, some of whom are Chief TAS Oyebiyi, a two times executive chairman of Moro LGA and former member of federal consumer protection Board as the leader of the group, Dr Bolaji Afolabi, (Rtd Director Veterinary Public Health of Kwara State & Presently President/CEO of Bolaniks, a food security/safety & Public health consultants, based in Ilorin as the group convener, Mr Iyiola Alabi Adetunji (Rtd INEC Director) and former SDP aspirant to KWHA, Alhaji Issa Aweda Rtd chief, Admi officer & former SDP KWHA aspirant; Mr Johnson Babatunde, Rtd Estate officer, Dr Reuben Akano, an associate Professor of literary Studies, Kwasu; Mallam Ayinla Carpenter , Mall. Saludeen Abati who are community elders in B/ Saadu & Abati respectively, as well as not less than fifteen (15) of the former ward chairmen of SDP, 14 former women leaders, and about 14 former SDP Youth leaders from Moro LGA.)
