LAGOS CIVIL SERVANTS TO WORK THREE DAYS A WEEK DUE TO ECONOMY HARDSHIP

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Following the current situation of the economy hardship in the country,Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwolu, has said his administration is making efforts for civil servants ranging from level 1 to 14 to work from their various offices three days in a week.

According to him, he said that these are part of measures taken to ease the current economic hardship.

Sanwo Olu made tbus call during a live media chat, to inform residents on steps being taken to tackle the economic hardship on Lagosians.

Prominent among these measures is the introduction of a hybrid work model for civil servants in the state, wherein employees will work from the office three times a week and remotely for the remaining two days.

The State governor said those on level 15 to 17 will come to their offices four times in a week.

He noted that from next week, we are working out a plan where civil servants from level 1 to 14 will come to the office maximum three times in a week.

He clears the air, noting that not all forms of government will be shut down. It will be calendarised and scheduled. Those on level 15 to 17 will miss work for one day.

Also, the governor said workers in the teaching sector will maintain the five days a week work schedule, but government will ensure additional transport support for them.
