ABDUCTED EX- EKSU DEPUTY VC CONFIRMED DEAD BY THE POLICE

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Professor Femi Olaofe, former Deputy Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, EKSU, has been confirmed dead by the Ekiti State Police Command in the hands of his kidnappers.

This is contained in a statement by the commissioner of Police, Adeniran Akinwale, who revealed that the professor’s body was found in a shallow grave.

The VC was abducted from his residence in Ado-Ekiti about three weeks ago, and news of his tragic fate emerged Wednesday morning.

In the Commissioner’s words, Yes, the professor has been found dead, and we are doing everything possible to exhume the body for burial.

According to the CP, he said we have arrested so many people, following the circumstances surrounding the incident, and we suspected insider’s work in which the security man employed by the professor was the one who planned it.

The abductors kidnapped the man with him so that we will not suspect.

In the process of rescuing him, we have arrested some people. I can’t say much about the security guard, but at the appropriate time, we will brief the public.
