SHEIKH IMRAN: RISING ABOVE FAMILY CHALLENGES: LESSONS FROM THE PROPHETS_

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // In a recent lecture, the Nigerian Scholar, Educationist and Preacher, Sheikh Abdul Mojeed Eleha emphasized the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity, particularly when it comes to family challenges.

Citing the examples of Prophets Ibrahim (AS) and Yusuf (AS), Sheikh Eleha noted that anyone who strives for greatness will inevitably face numerous challenges.

Prophet Ibrahim, the patriarch of the prophets, faced severe opposition from his family and community due to his unwavering commitment to monotheism.

His father, Azar, even threatened to stone him, and later, his people attempted to burn him alive in a fire.

Despite these challenges, Prophet Ibrahim remained steadfast, and Allah ultimately saved him from the fire.

Sheikh Eleha highlighted this story as an example of how prophets and righteous individuals often face intense family opposition, but ultimately emerge victorious.

Similarly, Prophet Yusuf’s brothers, driven by jealousy, plotted against him, but he ultimately triumphed over their betrayal.

Sheikh Eleha’s message resonated with many in attendance, including himself, reflected on the sheikh’s words, saying, i have faced my own share of challenges, but I remain committed to my goals and aspirations.

As we reflect on these stories, it is essential to remember that family background, members, and friends can sometimes be a source of challenge and opposition.

It is crucial to be cautious and discerning in our relationships, recognizing that not everyone may have our best interests at heart.

Therefore, Imran Eleha offer the following advice to the general public:

-Be mindful of the company you keep and the relationships you cultivate.

– Surround yourself with positive and supportive individuals who share your values and goals.

– Be cautious of those who may seek to bring you down or hold you back.

– Focus on your goals and aspirations, and remain committed to achieving greatness.

– Remember that challenges and opposition are a natural part of the journey to success, but with perseverance and determination, you can overcome them.

By following these principles, we can rise above the challenges that come our way and achieve greatness in our personal and professional lives.
