2027: Kwankwaso Visits Aregbesola In Lagos

By Kayode Adeyemo/ LAGOS// Former Governor of Kano State and National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to former Governor of Osun State and immediate-past Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, at his residence in Lagos.

The visit, political analyst suggest may not be unconnected to the permutation and realignment aimed at seizing power from the All Progressives Congress, APC led federal government in 2027.

Kwankwaso’s spokesperson, Saifullah Hassan in a post on his Facebook page said the meeting provided an opportunity for both leaders to engage in critical discussions on national politics, governance, and the future of Nigeria’s democratic landscape.

He added that the dialogue reflected a shared commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and fostering national development.

The visit comes days after Aregbesola and his group, Omoluabi Progressives announced their exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC), pledging to float a new political party that will rescue power from incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke in the Osun 2026 Governorship Election.
