Governor Yusuf Appoints Umar Farouk Ibrahim as New SSG
By Adamu Aliyu Aliyu/Abuja//The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabiru Yusuf, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The announcement was made today, Saturday, by the governor’s spokesperson, Malam Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, via his social media handle. He also prayed for Almighty Allah’s guidance for the new SSG in his new role.
Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim is a seasoned administrator who has served in various ministries and government agencies. Before his retirement, he rose to the position of Permanent Secretary.
It may be recalled that last year, Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf reshuffled his cabinet, which included the removal of the former SSG, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.
