100 DAYS OF INDUSTRIAL RENEWAL: SHAPING NIGERIA’S FUTURE

By Adamu Aliyu Aliyu/Abuja// On the 6th of February 2025, Senator John Owan-Enoh marked 100 days of resolute commitment to reigniting Nigeria’s industrial potential.
Guided by the visionary leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and working closely with the Honourable Minister of Trade & Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, we are laying the
foundation for a resilient and inclusive economy that will drive sustainable development and prosperity.
As we step further into 2025, Nigeria stands at a defining moment in its industrial journey. The promise of a robust, self-sustaining economy is within reach—driven by industrialization and
skills development, the twin engines of economic transformation.
As the Minister of State for Industry, his commitment remains steadfast in steering Nigeria’s industrial landscape toward global competitiveness, innovation, and sustainable growth through
six key strategic priorities:
1. Nigerian Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP) – Revitalizing vehicle production and positioning Nigeria as a key player in the automotive sector.
2. Special Agro-Processing Zones (SAPZ) – Strengthening agro-industrial value chains for food security and export growth.
3. Cotton, Textile, and Garments (CTG) Industry – Reviving textile manufacturing to create jobs and drive local production.
4. Petrochemical, Chemical & Pharmaceutical Manufacturing – Enhancing domestic production of essential industrial and consumer goods.
5. MSME Census – Capturing real-time data to support small-scale businesses and unlock targeted policy interventions.
6. Industrial Revolution Work Group (IRWG) – Driving industrial transformation through policy reforms and stakeholder engagement.
The future belongs to those who dare to reimagine, realign, and revitalize—and that is precisely our mission.
Together, we will build an industrial ecosystem that empowers businesses, creates
jobs, and drives sustainable economic prosperity for all Nigerians.
