Ganduje, Barau, Shekarau Attend Wedding of Kawu Sumaila’s Daughter

Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin; National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; and former Kano State Governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, were among the dignitaries who attended the wedding of Senator Kawu Sumaila’s daughter.

The wedding fatiha took place on Friday at the Sumaila Juma’at Mosque in Kano State and was officiated by Professor Salisu Shehu, the Chief Imam of the mosque.

Senator Kawu Sumaila expressed gratitude for the presence of esteemed guests at the fatiha of Dr. Khadija Suleiman Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila and Faisal Abdulmanafi Sarina, as well as Maryam Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila and Bello Ibrahim Ma’aji.

Several high-profile politicians were in attendance, including Senators Muhammed Tahir Mungono, Abba Moro, Abdul Ningi, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Victor Umeh, Danjuma Goje, Eze Kenneth, and Nasiru Sani Zangon Daura.

Also present were Senators Ekong Samson, Khalid Ibrahim, Khabib Mustapha, Sahabi Yau, Abdulhamid Mallam Madori, Ikra Aliyu Bilbis, and Shehu Buba, among others.

In addition, former Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan; Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas; and Aminu Dabo were among the dignitaries who attended the event.

Senator Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), representing Kano South in the Senate, hosted the occasion. However, sources confirmed to ‘The Historica Nigeria’ that no other NNPP members were present at the wedding.
