The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Fom Pam Joseph as the new Force Secretary of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

His appointment follows the promotion of his predecessor, AIG Adetutu Rhoda Olofu, to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG).

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the appointment in a statement, highlighting AIG Fom’s extensive experience and contributions to the force.

“The newly appointed Force Secretary is a seasoned police officer with an impressive track record,” the statement read.

Before this appointment, AIG Fom served as the AIG in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. He had also held key positions, including Commissioner of Police in charge of homicide investigations at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja.

The IGP emphasized that the appointment aligns with his commitment to enhancing efficiency within the Nigeria Police Force.

“This move is part of the IGP’s vision to improve the NPF’s efficiency and recognize diverse talents within the force to enhance overall policing effectiveness,” ACP Adejobi stated.
