Senate Suspends Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Six Months Without Pay

By Mohamed Fitr/ABUJA// The Senate Committee on Ethics has recommended the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan following her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

In its report, the committee also advised that the Kogi Central Senator issue an apology to the Senate for what it described as “disrespecting the Senate.”

As part of the suspension, the committee proposed the withdrawal of her salary and security details.

Subsequently on Thursday, the Nigerian Senate has accepted and approved the recommendations of its committee on the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi State.
