CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosanyin visits Obong of Calabar, Seeks Synergy

By James Ajibade//The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosanyin, PSC (+), fdc, paid a courtesy visit to His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, the Obong of Calabar, Natural Ruler, Treaty King and Patriarch of the Efik Eburutu Kingdom.

The visit marked a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between the Police Command and traditional institutions in the state. The CP, who was warmly received by the Obong, members of the Etuboms’ Council, Advisers, and Otuekongs, emphasized the importance of synergy, prayerful support, and effective information sharing for enhanced policing and community safety across the state.

 

Key responses were delivered by Etubom Bassey Okoh Bassey, Chairman of the Obong’s Council; HRH Ekpo Archibong, Secretary of Council; and HRH Etubom Ekpenyong Itam Okpo, Rear Admiral (Rtd), before His Eminence offered traditional blessings.

 

Also present were DCP Sanusi Mohammed, DC Operations, ACP Adewalehmi O. Joshua, AC Operations, ACP Juliet E. Wilson, AC Admin, and other senior officers. The visit concluded with the CP signing the Visitors’ Register, a Vote of Thanks by ACP Adewalehmi, and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
