Labour Minister Breaks Silence Over Alleged 2023 Election Result Forgery

By James Ajibade// The Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has firmly denied allegations that she forged election results during the 2023 general elections, calling the claims entirely unfounded.
This response follows a petition submitted by Labour Party lawmaker, Rep. Amobi Ogah, representing Isikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State. Ogah called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to investigate and prosecute Onyejeocha over alleged falsification of polling unit results.
In the petition, titled “Re: Forgery, Uttering and Tendering Allied Forged Polling Unit Results Sheets Arising Out of the 2023 General Elections in Respect of Isikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia by Ms Nkeiruka Chidubem Onyejeocha,” Ogah accused the Minister of manipulating electoral documents to overturn the true outcome of the constituency’s National Assembly election.
