By Kayode Adeyemo The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has handed over the confiscated 750-unit luxury housing estate seized from former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, to the Minister of Housing, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.

Over 750 luxury duplexes will soon be available for purchase by interested Nigerian buyers as the government seeks to recoup its money.

The Minister of Housing announced that the housing units will be sold through a clear and competitive process, which will be promoted extensively and overseen through the Renewed Hope Portal.

In a related development, Journalist/Activist Olayiwola Ibrahim has challenged the EFCC Chairman over the delay in investigating the alleged N80.2 billion fraud against former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.

Ibrahim argued that the delay is biased and an abuse of power, potentially under the influence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Presidency.

He reminded the EFCC boss that Nigerians are watching closely.

He also emphasized that the confiscated 750-unit luxury housing estate should be used as a relief low-costing estate for the masses, rather than being shared among Nigerian politicians.
