HONORABLE JOSEPH OLUWABUKUNMI FADAYAN DECLARED A BID TO CONTEST FOR OSUN STATE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IN ODO OTIN AREA OF THE STATE.

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Hon. Pst. (Dr.) Joseph Oluwabukunmi Fadeyan, a prominent philanthropist, agricultural strategist, and servant‑leader, was born in the early 1980s into the esteemed Fadeyan family of Ijabe, Odo‑Otin Local Government Area, Osun State.

The youngest of several siblings, he grew up in the Ojomu’s compound, where his early years were shaped by a strong sense of community and a deep reverence for family values.

Dr. Fadeyan’s academic journey and achievements began at Glovic Nursery and Primary School, Ikirun, Ifelodun LGA, before proceeding to African Church Grammar School, Idiolo, Ikirun, and later the School of Science, Iragbiji, Boripe LGA.

His passion for agriculture led him to the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta FUNAAB, where he earned a Bachelor of Agriculture B.Agric. degree in 2015, graduating with a Second‑Class Upper Division.

In pursuit of specialized knowledge, he enrolled at the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture, Natural Resources and Research Centre ISANRRC in Abuja, where he broadened his expertise in agricultural research and sustainable practices.

In recognition of his contributions, the institute honored him with an Honorary Doctorate Research Fellowship in 2024.

Parallel to his scientific pursuits, Dr. Fadeyan deepened his theological studies, obtaining certificate in Theology from The Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC) in 2017.

He is also a respected pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

He shared his Career and Public Services, noting that he is driven by a commitment to public service, Dr. Fadeyan has held several influential roles:

Personal Assistant to Hon. Semiu Lawal SEMBO, former Chairman of Odeda Local Government, Ogun State, under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Osun State Coordinator, Institute for Sustainable Agriculture, Natural Resources and Research Centre (ISANRRC).

Current Leader, Christian Youth in Politics, Osun State.

Founder/CEO, Olu‑Fadeyan Integrated Farming System, Ikirun, which focuses on livestock and crop production.

Distributor, Nature’s Renaissance International Ltd., contributing to health and wellness initiatives across Nigeria.

School Registrar, Promise of God International School, Ikirun.

Former Journalist, 92.3 FM Radio Station, Ikirun, covering paper reviews and community issues.

His work in agricultural value‑chain programs has earned him multiple awards, including recognition from Boripe Local Government for his contributions to agricultural development. Adding that this achievement has earned him a bold step and knowledge to represent the state in his political career.

He stated that he is ready to serve the people of the state noting that his commitment is to make sure he delivers by creating more basic amenities and development of rural areas and accelerating good access to educational sectors of the state.

According to him, Hon. Pst. (Dr.) Fadeyan is a devoted family man, married with children, and continues the philanthropic legacy of his late father, Chief Evan. Olubisi Fadeyan.

The elder Fadeyan was a founding member of the All Progressives Congress in Ijabe and famously donated land and built homes for the Gara farmers, establishing a lasting community presence that now serves as a voting unit in Igbotele‑Alapata, Ijabe.

Speaking on his vision for the future, he said that he is guided by his faith and a deep sense of responsibility, Dr. Fadeyan has articulated a clear vision for his constituency to:

Promote peace, harmony, and good governance through servant leadership.

Boost agricultural productivity, increase food security, and expand cash‑crop value chains.

Eradicate poverty and uplift youth through education, skill‑development, and empowerment programs.

Elevate the profile of Odo‑Otin State Constituency, Ward 7, Unit 2, on regional and national platforms.

His multifaceted achievements spanning agriculture, education, health, media, and community development—position him as a key figure in Osun State’s progressive agenda.
