OLADELE, ALAUSA, OLOYEDE RECEIVED OAU FRIEND OF HUMANITY AWARD
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The Obafemi Awolowo University’s African Pro‑Humanity Technology Hub APTH, in partnership with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has conferred the Friend of Humanity Award on Oloye Saheed Oladele, the Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland and Oyo APC gubernatorial aspirant.
The award ceremony was held at the African Centre for Excellence, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile‑Ife.
Oloye Saheed Oladele received the honour alongside other distinguished Nigerians:
– Dr Tunji Alausa, Honourable Minister of Education
– Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of JAMB
– Professor Idris Bugaje
The award recognised their sterling service and outstanding contributions to humanity as educational achievers and trailblazers.
In his response, Oloye Oladele thanked the organisers for the prestigious recognition, saying he felt honoured and privileged to share the accolade with such distinguished compatriots.
He added that each award presents a challenge to keep pushing forward in his endeavours, and this one is no exception.
Oloye Saheed Oladele was represented at the event by Dr Miftahu Abdulateef of the university’s Physics Department.
