OSHA ASPIRANT FADAYAN PROMISES YOUTH EMPOWERMENT, AGRICULTUAL PROMOTION

By Olayiwola Ibrahim // An aspirant for the Osun State House of Assembly, Odo-Otin State Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Fadeyan Joseph, has emphasized that youth empowerment and agricultural revolution remain pivotal to Osun State’s economic advancement.

Dr. Fadeyan made this known in an exclusive interview with Accurate News NG in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government Area, shortly after featuring on a radio programme ‘Mo Ta Koo’ on Saalim FM over the weekend.

According to him, sustainable economic development can only be achieved when the government prioritizes youth engagement in productive ventures and creates enabling conditions for agricultural expansion.

What Osun needs now is a deliberate strategy to empower the youth and elevate the state’s economic status, he said.

When you look at neighbouring states like Ekiti, you’ll see the progress they’ve made through youth-driven initiatives and agricultural innovation.

We intend to replicate and even improve on such models here in Osun.

The House of Assembly hopeful further disclosed his plan to partner with five major sugar companies to boost the constituency’s economic base, adding that the collaboration will encourage local sugarcane cultivation instead of depending on imports from countries like Senegal.

We will work with our farmers and investors to cultivate sugarcane locally,” he explained.

This will not only create jobs but also stimulate industrial growth and enhance Osun’s internally generated revenue.

Dr. Fadeyan also advised constituents of Odo-Otin to remain focused and avoid being swayed by financial inducements during the electioneering period.

The vision of Odo-Otin is clear under the APC and for the state at large, he stated.

Our people must think about the future, not temporary gains.

The decisions we make today will shape the prosperity of tomorrow.

With his background in leadership and development advocacy, Dr. Fadeyan expressed confidence that his representation at the State Assembly would mark a new era of purposeful governance, youth inclusion, and agricultural transformation across Odo-Otin Constituency.
