GANDUJE CLOSE ALLY EXPLAINS WHY NORTHERNERS WILL VOTE TINUBU AGAIN
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // A close associate of former APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Malam Umar Idris Shuaibu, has declared that the North-particularly Kano State-will stand firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Kano during a media interview, Shuaibu said President Tinubu’s enduring relationship with northern leaders, coupled with Ganduje’s reconciliatory and grassroots driven politics, has solidified the All Progressives Congress’ influence across the North-West and beyond.
According to him, Tinubu has consistently supported the North, and the region will repay that gesture with overwhelming votes when the time comes.
He further praised Ganduje’s leadership style, describing him as humble, patient, and inclusive qualities that have helped the APC regain unity and stability even after losing power in Kano.
Shuaibu also credited Ganduje’s son, Abba Ganduje, and other loyalists like Hon. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi for launching empowerment initiatives that have rekindled confidence in the APC at the grassroots level.
He highlighted Ganduje’s establishment of the Progressives Policy Institute as a lasting legacy that has become the party’s intellectual hub for policy research and leadership training.
Political analysts, however, cautioned against over relying on Ganduje’s network, noting that while it remains strong and far reaching, factors such as economic hardship, youth disaffection, and security challenges could reshape the 2027 political landscape.
Still, Shuaibu remains confident that Kano and the North will repay Tinubu’s goodwill in 2027 with loyalty, votes, and political strength.
