Education Secretary, World Bank Review Progress on Malawi Foundational Learning Program.

The Secretary for Education, Dr. Ken Ndala today held a wrap-up meeting with the World Bank Mission to review progress under the Malawi Foundational Learning Program (MFLP).

The meeting brought together senior officials from the Ministry of Education and representatives from the World Bank to assess advancements made in improving literacy and numeracy outcomes among early grade learners across Malawi.

In his remarks,Dr. Ndala expressed gratitude to the World Bank for its continued partnership and unwavering support to the Government of Malawi in strengthening the education sector.

He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that every Malawian child attains strong foundational learning skills as a basis for lifelong success.

Speaking on behalf of the World Bank Mission, the Task Team Leader (TTL), Mr. Nobuyuki Tana has reaffirmed the Bank’s dedication to supporting the implementation of the MFLP.

He noted that the meeting provided an essential platform to evaluate progress, share best practices, and explore further areas of collaboration aimed at enhancing learning outcomes nationwide.
