By Morris Nor// Former Kano State Commissioner of Education, Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru, has faulted the relocation of Government Girls’ Secondary School (GGSS) Maikwatashi to Kaura Goje, describing the process as poorly handled and insensitive to students’ welfare.

Kiru who’s also the Director of Program and Training at the The Progressive Institute, Abuja said the handlers of the project made grave mistakes by demolishing the old school before completing the new site, causing disruptions and hardship for students and teachers. He also condemned remarks labeling Sabon Gari residents negatively and questioned the sale of the school’s land at N100 million per plot.

He called on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to review the relocation process and ensure future education projects are handled with professionalism and care.
