Woman behind bars for alleged razor blade assault on client in Nkhata Bay

Disgruntled Regina Justine, a 21-year-old sex worker from Kampepuza Village, Kwataine in Ntcheu District has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a client in Monkey Bay.
Monkey Bay Police spokesperson Alice Sichali reported that the incident occurred on December 1st at a drinking establishment on Devil Street.
She said Justine and the victim were reportedly in an intimate relationship.
According to the police, the victim had consumed alcohol and was allegedly unable to perform sexually.
“Dissatisfied with the situation, Justine is accused of using a razor blade to intentionally injure the victim while he was asleep.
“The victim reported the incident to the Monkey Bay Police Station and was subsequently treated at Monkey Bay Community Hospital,” she said.
Sichali further added that Justine is currently in police custody, awaiting a court appearance on charges related to acts intended to cause harm.
