By Wuddy Manga// The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command today held an interactive session with its accredited media partners as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen communication, enhance public trust, and improve security information management across the territory.

The session, which commenced at 9:00 a.m. at the CP’s Conference Hall, Block B, brought together selected media representatives in a strictly-by-invitation engagement aimed at deepening collaboration.

Speaking during the meeting, the Commissioner of Police reiterated the importance of a strong police–media relationship. He emphasized the role of journalists in shaping public understanding of security issues, stating:
“Our partnership with the media is vital. When we communicate effectively, we strengthen public confidence and collectively contribute to a safer FCT.”

He further assured that the Command remains committed to transparency, timely information sharing, and constructive engagement with media stakeholders.

The interactive session addressed key issues bordering on security reportage, misinformation prevention, and enhanced coordination for better public awareness. Participants also explored ways to sustain regular engagements that will ensure accurate and responsible dissemination of security updates.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment from both the Police Command and media partners to work collaboratively in promoting safety and strengthening public trust across the Federal Capital Territory.
