CP ABIA MEETS WITH THE STRATEGIC OFFICERS OF THE COMMAND, ENHANCES SECURITY IN THE STATE
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // Yesterday, 2/12/2025, the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, held a meeting with senior officers of the Command.
In his address, he commended the officers for their efforts and dedication in ensuring enhanced protection of schools, worship centres and key infrastructures.
Leveraging on actionable intelligence, he charged them not to relent but to remain vigilant, protect themselves, their stations and their families.
He further directed that, in compliance with the IGP’s directive, no officer should be found on the highway and all officers attached to VIPs must be withdrawn, stating that all available hands must be on deck to intensify security in the state.
He stressed that necessary disciplinary actions will follow any act of non-compliance.
The CP also informed the officers that the newly passed-out ASPs will arrive the Command shortly.
He instructed DPOs to assist them where necessary and reiterated that their postings must rotate across the four major sections of the Division which is the Counter, Admin, Divisional Crime Branch (DCB) and Motor Traffic Department (MTD), throughout their one-year attachment.
Posting them outside these sections will attract disciplinary action.
He directed the Officer in Charge of Works to ensure the security of all police landed properties.
He also ordered that all transferred cases from sister security agencies must henceforth be addressed to the Commissioner of Police for appropriate directive to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation.
He warned against the violation of the police weekly dress code unless directed otherwise.
Finally, the CP appreciated officers of the Command for supporting the Women Police Officers in their 70th Anniversary Celebration and encouraged them not to relent their efforts in ensuring safety in Abia State
