●Nomads crowned 2025 TNM Super League champions as season concludes

Mighty Wanderers have been crowned champions of the 2025 TNM Super League bringing an end to a seven year title drought and restoring pride at their historic Lali Lubani base.

The Nomads sealed the championship with a game to spare ensuring that the final day results did not alter their status as kings of football in Malawi.

Wanderers wrapped up their season with a 2–2 draw against Kamuzu Barracks at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Sunday.

Although the match was competitive, the outcome had no impact on the title race as Wanderers had already done enough to clinch the league.

Kamuzu Barracks struck first in the 36th minute through John Banda, sending their supporters into celebration.

Wanderers responded strongly after the break with Blessings Mwalilino leveling the scores in the 56th minute.

Zeliet Nkhoma restored the soldiers’ lead later in the match, putting pressure on the champions-elect.

However, Wanderers showed their resilience when Muhammad Sulumba scored a late equaliser to secure a share of the spoils.

Wanderers head coach Bob Mpinganjira has attributed the team’s success to strong leadership and unwavering support from club president Thomson Mpinganjira.

The coach said the encouragement and motivation from the club’s leadership inspired players to perform consistently throughout the season.

Bob also praised the unity and cooperation among players, technical staff, and club officials, describing it as the foundation of their championship-winning campaign.

According to the coach, team spirit played a crucial role in navigating difficult matches and maintaining focus until the title was secured.
