Renewed Hope UK Welcomes Confirmation of Historic State Visit of President Tinubu to the United Kingdom

By Morris Nor// Renewed Hope United Kingdom warmly welcomes the confirmation by the Royal Household that His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla will host *His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the First Lady, *Senator Oluremi Tinubu*, on a State Visit to the United Kingdom from 18 to 19 March, 2026, at Windsor Castle, London, UK.

This historic engagement marks Nigeria’s first State Visit to the United Kingdom in 37 years and reflects the strengthening of diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between the two nations. It also affirms Nigeria’s strategic importance as a leading Commonwealth partner and a pivotal player on the African continent.

State visits remain one of the highest expressions of international goodwill and soft-power diplomacy. The pageantry and ceremonial honour accorded to President Tinubu and the First Lady symbolise the renewed vigour in UK–Nigeria relations, particularly in trade, investment, security cooperation, and youth development.
