PRESIDENT TINUBU TO COMMISSION LAGOS INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECTS
By Olayiwola Ibrahim // The President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, is set to commission several key projects in Lagos State, executed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
The projects include:
– The Opebi-Mende-Ojota Link bridge, aimed at easing traffic congestion and providing alternative routes for motorists traveling from Toyin, Allen, Opebi, Ojota, Maryland, and surrounding areas.
– The Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) Building, Alausa, which will digitize land records, improve title registration, and lay the foundation for a modern property market.
– The Lagos State Multi-Agency Complex, Alausa, a multi-storey structure consisting of 4 blocks on a 2.01-hectare site, housing state parastatals.
– The mid-level Agro food Hub, Abijo, Ibeju Lekki, featuring adequate parking facilities, cold and dry storage facilities, and expansive trading floors for vendors.
– The upgraded Tolu Schools Complex, Ajegunle, with new classroom blocks, access roads, sporting facilities, and ICT labs.
– The Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle, with 19 mini football pitches, located in the densely populated Ajegunle area
These projects are expected to boost Lagos State’s infrastructure, improve living standards, and drive economic growth. The commissioning is part of efforts to position Lagos as a hub for development and investment.
The projects also align with the state’s vision to enhance healthcare, education, and sports facilities, ultimately improving the quality of life for residents.
The event is anticipated to draw dignitaries, including government officials, traditional leaders, and stakeholders.
