LASRERA OPENS RENEWAL WINDOW FOR FORMER REAL ESTATE PERMIT HOLDERS IN LAGOS AS A NOTICE TO ALL REGISTERED REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONERS IN LAGOS STATE
By Olaywiola Ibrahim // Lagos // The Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority, LASRERA, has announced a renewal window for individuals and organizations that registered under the former Lagos State Real Estate Transaction Department.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, granted the concession during a meeting with the President and members of the Estate, Rent and Commission Agents Association of Nigeria, ERCAAN, on Friday, June 26, 2026.
KEY DETAILS:
1. Who: All individuals/organizations previously registered with the old Real Estate Transaction Department under the Ministry of Housing.
2. Deadline: Renewal fees must be paid on or before *Friday, July 31, 2026.
3. Benefit: Eligible practitioners will pay the prescribed renewal fee instead of the full new registration fee.
LASRERA said failure to renew before the deadline will attract the full registration fee applicable to new applicants.
All real estate practitioners in Lagos are advised to take advantage of the grace period to maintain legal status and avoid sanctions.
