Hassan; Lawmaker Aspirant Condemn Attacks In Kogi
By Ola Simon,LOKOJA/ One of the emerging strength of Kogi youths and an aspirant vying for the representation of Yagba East in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Mr Teheed Hassan has condemned the recent attack on the people of Omola Local Government Area of Kogi state by suspected headsmen.
Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja, the Ife – Olukotun born politician commended the security agencies and the vigilantes group for the steps taken towards the restoration of peace in the area.
He commiserated with the people of Omola for the loss occasioned by the attack and urged the people of the area to be watchful of their environment to prevent such occurrence.
Mr Teheed commended the state government for the proactive steps so far taken and urged religious organizations to intensify prayers for the peace and stability of the state and Nigeria in general.
He also appealed to them to focus their teachings on tolerance brotherliness and forgiveness noting that such virtues are responsible for peaceful coexistence in a diversified countries like Nigeria.
While urging security agencies to work assiduously to bring the perpetrators to book to serve as deterrent to others, the aspirant prayed for divine wisdom for sustenance of peace in Nigeria.
