Kwara Governor, Yahaya-Seriki Hold Closed-Door Meeting
Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and billionaire businessman, Ambassador Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki-Gambari, are reportedly in a closed-door meeting at the Government House on Ahmadu Bello Way, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Confidence News Nigeria gathered from multiple high-level sources that the prominent businessman arrived at the Government House around 3pm on Wednesday and was subsequently ushered into a private meeting with the governor.
Although the agenda of the meeting remains shrouded in secrecy, sources familiar with the development disclosed that the engagement was facilitated by an influential mutual friend of the two personalities.
The identity of the intermediary and the circumstances surrounding the meeting could not be immediately established as of the time of filing this report.
It is also unclear whether the meeting is connected to the unfolding political developments in Kwara State ahead of the 2027 general elections or is strictly a private engagement between the two influential figures.
Neither the Kwara State Government nor Yahaya-Seriki’s camp has issued an official statement regarding the meeting.
