Olayiwola Ibrahim, Convener of Anti-Drug Impact Foundation, who also doubles as a Journalist commends the leadership of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) under the chairmanship of Gen. Buba Maruwa, particularly the National Publicist and Director of Media and Strategy, Femi Babafemi, for their tireless efforts in tackling drug abuse and illicit substance trafficking in Nigeria.
For a long time, I have been passionate about finding solutions to the menace of drug abuse and addiction that has ravaged countless lives, especially among our youth.
It has been a cry from my heart to see a Nigeria where our children can grow up without the influence of hard drugs.
Therefore, I am thrilled to learn that the NDLEA has finally reached an agreement with the Federal Ministry of Education on modalities to further strengthen the fight against drug abuse.
This collaboration is a significant step towards creating a safer and healthier environment for our youth.
It’s a lovely step forward for the agency to adopt this idea, and I believe it will go a long way in reducing the prevalence of drug abuse and addiction in our society.
I would like to extend my appreciation to the current Minister of Education for this proactive approach and collaboration with the NDLEA.
This partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to protecting the well-being of our children and ensuring a brighter future for Nigeria.
We applaud the NDLEA’s commitment to this critical issue and look forward to working together to build a drug-free Nigeria.
The Anti-Drug Impact Foundation is eager to partner with the NDLEA and other stakeholders to ensure the success of this initiative and to create a society where our children can thrive without the dangers of drug abuse.
Furthermore, i strongly believe that severe punishment should be meted out to any communities harboring drug dealers or landlords who knowingly rent out their properties for illicit activities.
When such cases are reported to the authorities, it will serve as a deterrent to others and help curb drug abuse in our society.
We must work together to create a culture of accountability and responsibility, where communities prioritize the well-being of their members and report suspicious activities to the authorities.
Congratulations to Gen. Maruwa and the entire NDLEA team on this achievement.
We look forward to seeing the positive impact of this collaboration on the lives of our young people and the nation at large.
