FORWARD LEARNING MOVEMENT: AN INITIATIVE TO SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY AND ADVOCATING A BETTER FUTURE BY PROMOTING GOOD GOVERNANCE AND STRATEGIC POLICIES

By Kayode Adeyemo / Lagos // The Chairman of the movement, Adekunle Buraimoh, has reaffirmed his dedication to supporting communities around Oshogbo.
This commitment was evident during the launch of the Forward Leaning Movement (FORWARD ITESIWAJU) at Alagba Compound, Oja Oba Palace, Oshogbo.
The event, which drew a large attendance, sparked jubilation among community members.
During the launch, members of the public urged Chairman Kunle Buraimoh to consider contesting for political office, citing his humanitarian services and commitment to the people of Osun State.
They expressed trust and confidence in him, describing him as a soul of the land.
As part of the initiative, the Forwar Itesiwaju Movement presented additional exercise books to the Baale for distribution among schoolchildren.
This gesture aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents and support education in the community.
Chairman Buraimoh emphasized that this initiative will help promote learning and development among the youth.
The Protocol Officer, Mr. Abdul Ramon, highlighted that the Forward Leaning Movement is designed to promote the well-being of the people of Osun State and drive developmental goals.
He noted that the movement’s primary objective is to bridge the gap between the government and communities by providing support and resources.
In an interview with Arise TV, the Publicity Spokesperson of the movement, Comrade Olayiwola Ibrahim, stated that the movement aims to promote good governance and accountability in the state.
He emphasized the need to educate and empower youths with skills necessary to demand transparency and accountability, and advocated for the abolition of vote selling, describing it as a crucial step towards positive change.
During the exercise book distribution, Chairman Kunle Buraimoh spotted an Internally Displaced Person (IDP) among the children.
Moved by her situation, he pledged to sponsor her school fees throughout her stay in secondary school at Olutimehin Grammar School, Oshogbo.
The Baale, in his remarks, echoed the calls for Chairman Kunle Buraimoh to venture into politics, stating that he would be an excellent fit for the role.
He noted that some politicians had not achieved as much as Chairman Buraimoh had done through his philanthropic efforts.
Chairman Buraimoh was accompanied by key team members of the movement, including Leader Baruwa Tajudeen, Media Team member Mr. Afolabi Muideen, Barrister Mrs. Afolabi Taiwo, and other notable members.
The event showcased the Forward Learning Movement’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in Oshogbo and its surrounding communities.
Additionally, Prof Kunle Buraimoh had also proved by laying a good example to an Internal Displace Person (IDP), to sponsor her education through her stay in secondary school.
He echoed that all this are what the government should carter for.
